Control what evidence you share and with whom

Self-fund the Verified Passport or be sponsored

Build the professional record once, strengthen it over time and use it to show the evidence relevant to each opportunity.

For individual operatives

Keep your licences, qualifications and experience together, and show that you are ready for work.

Whether you are employed, self-employed or working across several contractors, proving that you have the right qualifications can mean repeatedly sending the same documents to different people.

Licence Ready gives you a digital Operative Passport. The free basic Passport lets you create and maintain a core record of your licences, qualifications, training and experience. It also gives you access to Cara AI to support your learning and development.

A Verified Passport adds checked evidence and relevant credential monitoring, giving companies greater confidence in the information you provide. It costs £14 per month and can be paid for by you or sponsored by a company.

You can share selected Passport information with prospective employers or clients, including organisations that do not use Licence Ready.

The benefit

Your professional information in one place, easier sharing of your credentials and a better way to demonstrate that you are qualified and prepared for the work you undertake.

The free Operative Passport

Your professional record remains yours.

The underlying Passport and Cara AI remain available to the operative. A company can connect to the Passport with consent, but it does not own the record or take it away when an assignment ends.

A free basic Passport that stays with you

Create and maintain a core professional record rather than starting again whenever you change company, role or project. Information in the basic Passport is not presented as verified unless it has completed the relevant checking process.

Identity and licence status

Keep relevant identity information and SIA licence details connected to your professional record.

Five-year work history

Build a structured record of employers, contracts and assignments across the previous five years, including dates, responsibilities and explained gaps where relevant.

Qualifications and credentials

Record the awarding or issuing organisation, qualification, relevant dates and supporting source. The status shows whether it is declared, evidenced, attested or verified.

Competence evidence

Add observations, assessments, learning, attestations and evidence of skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours over time.

Controlled sharing

Choose the relevant information and share it through a secure, view-only link, including with organisations outside Licence Ready.

Passport funding

Pay for your own Passport services or be sponsored while assigned.

You can fund your own paid Passport services, or a security company can sponsor them while you are assigned to its work. In either case, the Passport remains yours.

The operative owns one portable Passport and controls the evidence they share.

The operative can pay for their own paid Passport services and keep them active independently of any assignment.

A company can sponsor Scheme participation and associated assurance services while the operative is assigned to its work.

Sponsorship does not create verified status. The evidence must still satisfy the relevant requirements.

When sponsorship ends, the operative keeps the Passport and its history, and can self-fund the paid services or be sponsored by another company.

SKEB

Suitability is more than a licence or a list of courses.

Licence Ready organises evidence around skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours. Together, these provide a clearer picture of whether an operative has evidence relevant to the role they are being considered for.

Skills

What the operative can do.

Practical capability supported by relevant training, observation, assessment, work evidence or an appropriate attestation.

Knowledge

What the operative understands.

Role knowledge, procedures, responsibilities and learning that are relevant to the work and environment.

Experience

Where and how that capability has been applied.

A structured five-year work and assignment history helps show the roles, settings, responsibilities and continuity behind the profile.

Behaviours

How the operative applies themselves at work.

Relevant professional behaviours can be supported through assessments, observations and attestations from suitable people or organisations.

Five-year work history

Show the experience behind the profile, not only the latest job title.

The Passport can bring employers, contracts and assignments into one chronological record. Dates and gaps remain visible, while supporting evidence or an identified employer or referee can add assurance to the entry.

Build the timeline

Record organisations, roles, assignment types, dates and relevant responsibilities across the previous five years.

Support the entries

Add appropriate documents or confirmations. Where another person or organisation confirms an entry, the source and relationship remain part of the record.

Keep the status clear

An entry can remain declared, evidenced, attested or verified. Gaps and incomplete checks are shown rather than hidden by a complete-looking profile.

How evidence gains assurance

A claim is not presented as verified simply because it has been entered or uploaded.

Licence Ready preserves the source and status of information so the viewer can distinguish what the operative has declared from what is supported, attested or verified.

Capture

Record the claim and its context.

The Passport identifies what is being claimed, who it relates to and whether it concerns identity, a licence, qualification, experience, competence or work history.

Evidence

Connect the source behind the claim.

A document, awarding or issuing record, employer confirmation, assessor observation or other appropriate source is attached or referenced. An upload alone is not automatically treated as verified.

Check

Review the source against the applicable requirement.

Where available, information can be checked against an authoritative source. Other evidence may be reviewed or attested by an identified person or organisation with a relevant relationship to it.

Status

Show how much assurance the information carries.

Declared, evidenced, attested and verified remain distinct so users can see how the status was reached, rather than relying on a simple completed-profile badge.

Apply

Match the evidence to the role and assignment.

Verified evidence still has to be relevant, current and sufficient for the venue, company, role and deployment requirement.

Understanding the status

Not every item in a Passport carries the same level of assurance.

Licence Ready distinguishes information that has been declared, evidenced, attested or verified. This prevents a completed profile from being mistaken for a verified person.

Declared

Information you have provided.

Useful as a starting point, but not presented as independently confirmed.

Evidenced

Information supported by a source document or record.

The source and provenance can be considered when the evidence is reviewed.

Attested

Information confirmed by another person or organisation.

The identity and relationship of the attesting source remain relevant to the weight of the evidence.

Verified

Information checked against the applicable verification requirements.

Verified does not mean suitable for every role. The evidence must still be matched to the specific company, venue and deployment requirement.

Illustrative Operative Passport with selected evidence sharing controls

Share with control

Show the evidence that matters without sending your entire document folder.

Select the information relevant to a role, onboarding request or client Scheme and share it through a controlled, view-only link.

Your Passport can be shared with Licence Ready companies and with organisations outside the platform. Company-private notes, suitability decisions and project records remain with the company.

Cara AI

Understand where you are and what could come next.

Cara AI uses the skills, knowledge, experience and evidence recorded in your Passport to highlight strengths, identify gaps, suggest relevant learning and help you explore possible career routes.

Your Passport develops as you add new work, evidence, learning and assessments. You remain responsible for your decisions and in control of what you share.
